The most distinctive feature of the Buddhist temple is the Fo Guang Buddha, the largest and tallest sitting Buddha in the world. The main hall of this museum is dedicated to the true body relics of Sakyamuni Buddha. 【Guang Jinsheng small oil paper umbrella painting DIY】
The most prosperous period for Meinong oil-paper umbrellas was from the Taisho period of Japanese rule to the 1950s of the Republic of China. The paper umbrella factory in Meinong could produce more than 20,000 umbrellas a year. However, after the 50 years of the Republic of China, with the development of industry, automated production of parasols replaced the traditional and artistic oil-paper umbrellas, and the oil-paper umbrella industry gradually declined. Today, there are only five oil-paper umbrella factories left in Meinong, and "Guangjinsheng" in the alley next to Zhongzheng Lake is one of them. It still insists on handmade umbrella stands and paper umbrella painting, and provides people with DIY services. Friends of Meinong, this trip must be included in your itinerary.
※ If the Guangjinsheng store cannot make an appointment or is temporarily closed due to force majeure, we will go to Guangdexing instead.
